Triangle Rewards makes a big radio buy in Toronto: Media Monitors

Mobile Klinik, Planet Fitness and Sephora also boosted their radio presence last week.

A host of advertisers have increased their radio buys as they enter the final weeks of the holiday season, according to Media Monitors data for the week of Dec. 6 to 12.

Canadian Tire Bank kicked off a push behind its portfolio of Triangle Rewards cards with a big radio presence, followed by two other brands that began new radio campaigns in big ways: Mobile Klinik and Planet Fitness. GoDaddy, Desjardins and Bell maintained their spots in the middle of the top ten.

Sephora also increased its radio push, jumping into the top ten in Toronto and third in Montreal.

The Government of Quebec re-took its spot at the top of the ratings in Montreal, followed by other brands that have had strong radio buys in recent weeks: Virgin Plus, McDonald’s and Bell. Categorically, government ads had the biggest presence, followed by ads for public services, wireless carriers and financial companies.
