Touche! names new strategy leadership in Toronto

Joining from Montreal, Samantha Kelley and Marilyne Alie are the first steps in the agency's plans for growth in 2022.

Touche! is beginning 2022 with a pair of promotions at the top of its Toronto strategy team.

Samantha Kelley (pictured above, left) has been promoted from VP of strategy to managing director of strategy. In her new role, she will lead the agency’s strategy and account management teams, working across Touche! Toronto’s entire client roster.

Kelley joined Touche! in its home base of Montreal in 2013 and was promoted to her VP role the following year.

Filling in Kelley’s previous role is Marilyne Alie (above, right), who has been promoted to VP of strategy. She will lead Touche! Toronto’s Canadian Tire and Cogeco accounts, as well as work for several clients and teams in Montreal. Alie joined Touche! as a media strategist in 2015, and took on AVP of strategy duties in 2019.

The new appointments follow a pair of additions Touche! made to its Toronto management team in October. One was Vahini Jeevakaren as AVP of strategy to lead the planning team on Diageo. The other hire was Warren Ravinsky as head of digital to lead all of the agency’s digital operations, bringing experience as head of digital advertising from eBay in South Africa.

Karine Courtemanche, Touche! Canada’s CEO, says the appointments are meant to help support what she expects to be “robust growth again in 2022.” Last year, the agency added Éco-Entreprise Québec, Société de Transport de Montréal and Premier Tech to its client roster, with a headcount topping 250 between its two offices.
